Add your spark to the Crazy Camp community!

Crazy Camps aren’t a one-person project anymore; they’re powered by our community. But time is precious these days, and that’s why we’ve created MicroTasks: small, manageable things anyone can do.

The idea is simple: pick one or two tasks from the list and commit to doing them. You won’t be on your own — support is always available.

And remember, what’s easy for one person might be tricky for another, so choose something that feels light and enjoyable for you.

MicroTasks

Hate long meetings? Love getting stuff done? Welcome to MicroTasks — tiny missions that keep Crazy Camps alive (without the boring bits). Pick one, do your magic, feel good. Your contribution makes a difference!

How does this form work?
  1. When you check a MicroTask box, a violet text (on desktop to the right; on mobile at the bottom) will show an explanation of that task.
You might need to scroll up and down — sorry for that!
  2. To hide the description again, uncheck the box. But if this is the MicroTask you want to do, just keep it checked.
  3. Once you’ve chosen your MicroTask(s) and their descriptions are still visible, click the “Next” button to go to the next page. There, you can enter your email address and name and submit the form.
  4. After receiving your form submission, I will contact you within a few days to send you more information on how to do the MicroTask. I will provide you with the necessary resources and will answer any questions that you might have.

If you're really fanatic, you can pick more than one MicroTask, but don't pick a whole lot. It's about getting things done :) so once you're done with the MicroTask(s) that you sign up for now, simply come back to this form if you want to do more.

Yes, I feel exited to pick up the following micro task(s)!

Click on a checkbox and the description will appear on the right. Uncheck the checkbox if you are done reading – unless that's the MicroTask that you would like to do :) in that case, leave it checked.

Create 3 IG posts
You choose if you publish them on your own IG, or on @crazycamps (or a combination). You will get access to a selection of images to choose from. Or maybe you have something from a Crazy Camp that you participated in :) We can discuss a theme/message to convey – but you can also follow your own guts.

mastodon.
I think it would be awesome (and feels more aligned) if we can increase our presence on fediverse media such as mastodon. But I have no idea where to start... Maybe you can help?
Find influencer
It could help our project greatly if we would manage to engage an influencer (IG, YouTube,...) to publish about Crazy Camps. The first step would be to find influencers with the right mosaic of followers, so that I could contact them.
Scan 3 groups/fora where you could answer a question.
Why 'answer a question'? Because if I as an organiser post something, it's usually flagged as spam a the post will be deleted. But if there is another user asking a question where a reference to Crazy Camps would be appropriate. An example: "My usual ski mates are not available this winter, but I don't want to go alone. Any suggestions?"
Question/answer suggestions will be part of the email that you'll receive after signing up for this micro-task.

This is about non-'promotional' posts; more informative. Like "Hey if there is someone that needs to hear this, there is this non-profit that organizes really cool group trips where no alcohol is consumed. Check out the link/send me a DM if you want the link."

Find 3 subreddits
I'm not a reddit user, but I think we can have some audience there :) First step in creating a Crazy Camp presence on reddit, would be find the right (sub)reddits... where users can be found that might be interested in knowing about Crazy Camps
Find publications
It would be awesome if you could help find 3 publications where we could send info on Crazy Camps, or maybe even advertise. It is important for Crazy Camps that there are participants from many countries, so that's why I ask for "in your country/language".
research Discord
It would have a lot of benefits if we could have one central place for communication around Crazy Camps. For preparation info per Crazy Camp (introductions, ride shares, meeting place...), for after care, brainstorms, volunteer coordination... Is Discord the place for that?
Online workshops
In the past we have done online workshops/meetings for the community a couple of times. And it was great! What could be good/relevant/appealing subjects for this? In the past we had, for example, something about emphatic listening; something about observing and fine-tuning your daily-life balance, and something about how climate change impacts the mountains.
Sauna events
The portable Crazy Camp sauna is a super fun way of introducing Crazy Camps to people. In the past, the sauna has been on a sauna festival, a music festival, a conscious multi-disciplinary event... It is important for Crazy Camps that there are participants from many countries, so this could be almost anywhere in Europe.
Retreat portal
There are some retreat/booking portals that can help us to find new participants. Usually they have a set format in which the information has to be submitted. I will support you with that if needed. Portal URL(s) will be given to you.
Sauna places
The portable Crazy Camp sauna is a super fun way of introducing Crazy Camps to people. In the past, we had the sauna 'in the wild'... for example in an urban park or at the beach. And then announce it through different channels as a public event. It is important for Crazy Camps that there are participants from many countries, so this could be almost anywhere in Europe.
Posters/flyers
Is there a place in your daily life where people that might be interested in Crazy Camps hang out? A yoga school, a cultural centre, a university, a shop for hiking gear...? If so, we could hang some posters there or some flyers.
Ask friends
The idea is not to try to 'sell' Crazy Camps to them, but rather to understand what they find appealing in the concept, and what would make them reluctant to actually sign up. Ask this to people that might be our target group. Someone who spends every summer laying on the beach in Mallorca might not give relevant info ;)
Logistics in Haarlem
On the day that a Crazy Camp starts, or rather the day before that, there is a lot of packing, sorting and loading of the car to be done. Help with this is very welcome – but indeed it is at a fixed location in the west of The Netherlands
15 years of Crazy Camps
The very first Crazy Camp took place in March 2011. This is 15 years ago in 2026. Celebrations are often linked to round numbers, so 2026 might be a candidate :)
I would love to do a short brainstorm with a few Crazy Campers, to decide if we should organise some form of celebration, or not. Maybe you want to be part of this brainstorm group? We can brainstorm in one or two online meetings to get to a yes/no conclusion.
If the conclusion is 'yes', we can think about how to celebrate (a special edition? a reunion? merch? discounts? ...?)
The actual organisation can be done by this same group of brainstormers, or by a new to be formed 'committee'.

Please make sure that this is correct, or I can't get back to you.
