We do it for the fun of it, as personal expression, and as a vehicle for personal development. Of course there will be two Crazy Camps this winter for skiers/snowboarders. One of them with lots of yoga and meditation :)
But there will also be a Crazy Snow Balance Camp in a lonely valley without any ski lifts etc. What we will be doing there, is snowshoe hiking. In the picture you see us doing that in a Crazy Snow Camp a couple of years ago. Snowshoe hiking is not as well known as skiing or snowboarding. It is really a sport for nature lovers. In a slow pace you go to places of emptiness and quietness. It’s quite a work-out and often meditative. And at other moments it is exciting with a good rush of adrenaline. You really feel absorbed by the majestic beauty of the mountains. And as we’re speaking here about the Crazy Snow BALANCE Camp: yes there will be lots of yoga (for all levels), meditation, bodywork etc.! Link in bio. Check it out!

This winter the incredible, portable CrazyCamp.org Slow Sauna will make pop-up appearances at odd places! This first edition will be in Haarlem (The Netherlands). There is a limited number of spots available. Join if you want to experience a relaxing evening with like-minded people.

I will post the link to a video about this sauna in the event comments.

Do you want to join? This is how it works: send me a PM and I will send you a tikkie or PayPal-link for EUR 10. When I receive your payment, I will send you the location.

If you really come, you will get your EUR 10 back. This way, I can keep track of who is really committed to coming. If you want, you can leave a voluntary contribution but that is not expected.

The location is very close to direct buses to Amsterdam and some 20 minutes walking from Haarlem station.

Bring a towel, maybe a kimono, flip-flops or similar, and, if you want, some vegan snacks for on the table. A nice soup will be provided.

This campaign goes against consumerism, instead of promoting it. Here is how it works:

For the first 3 people that sign up on Friday Nov. 25 for a Crazy Camp this winter (see crazycamp.org/upcoming) and pay the downpayment within 2 weeks after Black Friday, there is ski/snowboard/snowshoe gear to give away.

In order of when I receive the downpayment:

- For the first person there is the choice between a pair of ski’s, a snowboard or a longboard (with wheels, has nothing to do with winter sports)

- For the second person there is a pair of skiboots, snowboard boots or hiking boots

- For the third person there is a piece of winter sports clothing (ski pants or winter jacket)

As all this is second hand, it might not be the perfect size for you. And for anything else than boots, maybe that’s fine.
